Yoncé // a picture worth a thousand words. There is so much I could say about what this picture embodies, and how much this represents me, and doesn’t. But for now, I’ll just say continue to grow, and be inspired. Continue to complete yourself, and be open to draw inspiration from all avenues of life. And yes, that includes - Beyoncé. In fact, I’m listening to 'Yoncé' right now.

tia mowry // Simply stunning. I am pretty sure my north was wide open when I first saw her in this get-up. Refinery29 & HuffPost Style approves.

DSLR Video Shooter // If you’re a video head like myself and need to brush up on your tech-y knowledge give Caleb a holler. No matter how much equipment this man accumulates, he still manages to channel simplicity in his approach to video.

“Work until you no longer have to introduce yourself” // Truth. So many times I am complimented on my self-confidence or wisdom, and I’m thankful and appreciative of that, what I have learnt-I am proud of myself, but theres no time to sit and meditate on that. I don’t do this for myself, I do it for those to come, and when I adopted that outlook, I decided to settle for nothing and be on a constant journey of challenging and building myself. I am the only person to blame for any short-comings and my inner peace is sacred.

Kimbra - Love in High Places (video) & Laura Mvula - Green Garden (video) // These two songs have been added to my playlist this week and I am so in-love. I heard of Laura a while back through my god-sister but never took to downloading her song until I rediscovered it in my iTunes wish list this week. Beautiful song, and impeccable accompanying visuals. If I had to ever imagine the perfect video to that song, it would probably look exactly how it does. I discovered the video director was Wendy Morgan, to no surprise, she has recorded music videos such as Dance Apocalyptic and Cold War by Janelle Monåe. Speaking of Monåe,  anyone who’s anyone knows Janelle Monåe released her video to Electric Lady this past weekend and it is ***Flawless, of course. There were five women on video screens featured in the video, I knew of them all except Kimbra so I looked her up. I should have known if she was Monåe approved I was bound to love her.

I had the opportunity to attend New York Fashion Week recently. If you know me or this blog, it's been a very long time coming. Ok, maybe like three years but still it was a plesant surprise to receive my first real invite to a NYFW show, this side of the continent***. I felt truly special, as NYFW  seems to set out to make one feel, with the stark scent of exclusivity. But I also knew almost immediately, I couldn't let the opportunity pass me by. It was practically divine. On the very same day I looked up the dates for this past season's show, was the very same day I ranted about the state of NYFW, and the very same day Yuna Yang sent me an invite. Something much larger than I was at work, so I took heed and followed through with the prompting (Thank you sweet baby Jesus). Yuna Yang

Entering from the End || On ALL NIGHT of LEMONADE by B

I am listening to “All Night” and I am in tears. I am crying from the inside-out. There is no flood, just pain (and healing *rolling eye emoji).

And yes that word counts as a B reference so let's just start there.
